Polarization-preserving quantum frequency conversion interface

The study combines a Sagnac loop with off-axis parabolic mirrors to achieve achromatic UV–NIR waveguide coupling and polarization-preserving quantum frequency conversion from 369.5 nm to 580 nm. These wavelengths connect the optical transitions used by trapped-ion and solid-state quantum memory systems, providing an interface for heterogeneous quantum networks.

Related coverage: A quantum bridge across wavelength bands (in Chinese). The report describes the achromatic coupling scheme and its role in connecting trapped-ion nodes with solid-state quantum memories.
