The study implements neural-network readout on FPGA and ARM hardware, achieving an average single-qubit readout fidelity of 99.5% within 171 μs. Convolutional and fully connected neural networks process the ion’s fluorescence signal, while local hardware processing reduces communication delays and supports real-time readout and feedback.
