This work demonstrates a dual-sided Raman addressing system in which two tightly focused beams overlap on the target ion. Objectives and acousto-optic deflectors on both sides of the trap allow the spots to address different positions in an ion chain. At an ion spacing of approximately 5.5 μm, the measured spectator-to-target Rabi-frequency ratio is 1.19(5) × 10⁻³. This value quantifies unwanted Raman driving of a neighbouring ion; it is distinct from the intensity spillover of an individual beam. The architecture supports flexible, low-crosstalk control of trapped-ion qubits.
