报告题目： Quantum computation built on rock and sand

报告摘要： 

     Quantum computation is an emerging technology believed to be much more powerful than classical computation. A question is how long we need to bring quantum computation into the real world. It could be in the next five years or never. In this talk, we will review some key results of the quantum computation theory and experimental achievements. We will see that both optimism and pessimism have good reasons.

报告人简介： 

     Ying Li, Associate Professor at Graduate School of CAEP, working on the theory of quantum computation, including fault tolerance, error mitigation, network architecture and algorithms. He obtained Bachelor and Master degrees at Nankai University in 2006 and 2009, respectively, and PhD degree at the National University of Singapore in 2013. Before he joined Graduate School of CAEP in 2017, he worked in the University of Oxford as a postdoctoral researcher for four years.
