报告题目：Multi-critical Dicke Model

报告摘要： 

    Dicke model, one of the most iconic models in quantum optics, concerns the interaction between a cavity field and an ensemble of two-level atoms. It features the famous superradiance phase transition, which is of second order. Here we show that, by replacing the two-level atoms with general multi-level atoms, the order of the superradiance transition can be controlled, and higher-order critical points emerge. As a specific example, we consider three-level atoms which exhibits tricriticality. We provide a detailed study of this system and show that the tricritical behavior survives when dissipation in the form of cavity decay is included. As such, this system offers an ideal platform to study multi-criticality in a well controlled manner.
