报告题目：Engineering colour centres for quantum technologies

报告摘要： 

    In this seminar I will present some of my research in diamond and silicon carbide color centres for single photon sources and spin-super-resolution microscopy. I will also discuss methods for creating colours centres using laser writing in diamond and silicon carbide,  and fabricate silicon carbide nanoparticles by laser ablation.  I will show the incorporation of silicon carbide color centre in micropillars and Mie resonators (silicon carbide pillars lattice) to enhance their photoluminescence. I will conclude on prospects of silicon carbide for integrated quantum photonics.

报告人简介： 

    Stefania Castelletto is a Professor in Renewable Energy  and Associate Dean in the School of Engineering at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University in Melbourne, Australia. She holds a Dottorato di Ricerca (Ph.D. equivalent) in Metrological Science and Technology from the School of Engineering at the Polytechnic of Turin (Italy), where she worked in early experiments using spontaneous parametric down-conversion for quantum metrology and cryptography. She has over 20 years of experience in research in optical engineering, metrology, quantum technology (single photon sources and detectors), and material science and engineering. In Australia, she has been part of the Australian Research Council Centres of Excellence for Quantum Computing and Engineered Quantum Systems at the University of Melbourne and Macquarie University in Sydney, respectively.  She has been guest scientist in national research centres such as the National Institute of Technology and Standards (USA) (2001-2003) and the National Physics Laboratory (NPL) (2000). She was group leader at the Italian National Metrology Research Laboratory for 8 years after she finished her PhD.
