Notice on Holding the 2nd Sino-Russian Workshop on Quantum Science and Technology

Quantum information and quantum physics have surpassed the constraints of classical theories, paving the way for novel advancements in information technology and heralding the dawn of a new era in quantum information technology. To advance the international collaboration in fields of quantum information and quantum physics, and building upon the foundation laid by the inaugural Russian-Chinese workshop held in Moscow in 2024, we are delighted to announce the 2nd Sino-Russian Workshop on Quantum Science and Technology, which is set to be held in Hefei, Anhui Province, from April 25 to 30, 2025.

This workshop will be held at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) which is one of the famous universities in China and has made groundbreaking achievements in the field of quantum science, including the quantum communication, quantum computing, quantum metrology, and quantum fundamentals. While Hefei, home to the main campus of USTC, is a globally renowned hub for scientific research. According to the 2023 Nature Index, Hefei ranks 13th worldwide, 8th in the Asia-Pacific region, and 6th within China, solidifying its status as a leading city in the global scientific community. The city is also at the forefront of quantum information science research in China.

This workshop will function as a crucial platform designed to unite renowned researchers, esteemed scholars, and forward-thinking leaders who will share insights, facilitate exchanges, and nurture collaborations within the rapidly evolving domain of quantum technologies. This promises to be an enriching endeavor, presenting unparalleled avenues for the dissemination of knowledge, networking opportunities, and the exchange of innovative ideas.
