报告题目： Emergence of Classical Motion in a World of Quantum Particles
The world is made of microscopic particles, such as, atoms, which obey the laws of quantum physics. However, we only observe classical motions in our daily life. In this talk, I shall first show how nonlinear classical motions emerge from a world of quantum particles that are governed by linear Schrödinger equation. I shall then explain why superposition of quantum states are not observed in our daily life with Everett's theory of many-worlds.
