Mr. Guang-Can Guo

Professor and Ph. D. director, academician of CAS, who was born in Dec. 1942 at Hui-An, FuJian province, and graduated from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 1965, now is the chief president of the Lab.

Prof. Guo has devoted a very long time to the research work on quantum optics, non-linear optics and quantum information. He has published more than 220 papers in both domestic and international magazines such as Physics Review Letters (PRL), Physics Review A(PRA) and etc, and 11 books such as Quantum Optics, Optics and etc. Now Prof. Guo has a major interest in the theoretical and experimental research in the field of quantum information, quantum computation and quantum information theory.
